Christmas is a joyous time for most people, but it can also be stressful for those who struggle to provide the extras for their children.  At OLMC, we help those in our community who can't afford Christmas gifts for their children through our Giving Tree program. 

Families sign up to receive gifts, then our volunteers organize the requests and write each child's wishes on a tag.  The tags are then hung on the Giving Tree; then, parishioners take the tags and buy gifts for the children.  The volunteers organize the gifts and purchase extra items with monetary donations they receive, and then distribute the gifts to the families in time for Christmas.

This ministry is a very gratifying one; seeing the thankfulness on the parents' faces makes it all worthwhile.  Is it on your heart to make Christmas happen for needy children right here in our community?  Call Joyce Smeigh at 740-605-1800 and offer to help.
