As Catholics, we believe in the Real Presence of Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in the Holy Eucharist. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith. Therefore, all persons, including visitors, who are baptized Catholic or Orthodox, have received their First Communion, are actively practicing their faith and are living in a state of grace, are welcomed to participate in the Most Holy Eucharist.

Holy Communion can be administered to our homebound parishioners by one of our Eucharistic Ministers. Please call our office to make arrangements.

First Holy Communion is normally received by those students in 2nd grade after participating in our parish PSR program. Older children wishing to receive First Holy Communion will be given instruction through the Order of Christian Initiation for Children (OCIC).

Adults who are not yet Catholic are not permitted to participate in Holy Communion.  Those wishing to join the Catholic Church are required to complete training through the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA). These weekly classes begin in September, and participants will receive instruction on the truths of the Catholic faith. The process culminates at the Easter Vigil Mass where the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Communion are received. Enrollment in OCIA does not obligate one to receive the sacraments; it is always a person choice whether or not to complete the process.

If you have been away from the Catholic Faith for sometime and are returning, we welcome you to attend any of our Masses and to participate in our parish activities. In order to participate fully in the Holy Eucharist, you are encouraged to contact Father Valcin and request an appointment to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Father makes every attempt to assist in making the Sacrament of Reconciliation a positive experience. Please call the Parish Office 740-928-3266 to set an appointment.
