Wedding Planning

Wedding Planning

Marriage in the Catholic Church incorporates not just a man and a woman, but also God into the relationship. A couple married before God and who keeps Him central to their marriage has a better chance for a successful marriage and happy family.

Marriage preparation should begin as soon as possible after the engagement and before a wedding date is finalized. The couple will need to attend a series of meetings with the Pastor to discuss both the spiritual and practical aspects of marriage. Through the FOCCUS survey, the couple and the Pastor will become aware of any relationship issues which may need to be discussed before marriage. Once an initial assessment by the Pastor and the FOCCUS survey are complete, the wedding date may be finalized.  Active parishioners must contact the Pastor no later than 6 months prior to the tentative date of their wedding.
